Mike's journey in Strength and Conditioning started as an intern at Winona State from 2012-2015. While at Winona State, Mike streamlined his knowledge and network by accepting and learning through internships. Mike spent time with The University of Wisconsin (2014), The University of Iowa (2015) and The University of Minnesota (2016) before accepting a graduate assistant strength and conditioning position with Minnesota State University Mankato. While at Mankato, Mike conducted his own sports performance research while training the National powerhouse Minnesota State Baseball program, as well as Women’s Basketball, Wrestling, Football and multiple other programs. His findings would be published in the International Journal of Exercise Science.

In 2017, Mike got the opportunity to join professional baseball. He became a Physical Performance coach in the Colorado Rockies Organization. Mike used that experience at his next home, Northern Illinois University, where he was named the Assistant Director of Sports Performance. Mike stayed at Northern Illinois from 2017-2019 until he accepted his position with Minnesota Mash Baseball Club in Eagan, MN.

Mike continues to push the envelope and has brought a sense of energy and accountability to Minnesota Mash. He has accrued 5 different strength and conditioning certifications to date, and his passion for not only obtaining knowledge, but communicating it to people, has raised the standard of coaching every where he's been.
